TEAM BIOGRAPHY
Adella Bahar
Digital Material Team, Marketing Team
Adella is currently completing her Masters Degree in Art Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design. She has worked as a freelance graphic designer and content manager for small start-up businesses in fashion, education and marketing. Coming from Indonesia, she recently launched Cakravala - a digital platform showcasing the works of her local emerging artists. Adella’s interest lies in highlighting Indonesia’s diverse culture and contributing to the support of its growing contemporary art scene. She is driven by the urge to explore various ways of experiencing art by promoting the cross-section of physical and digital spaces. Through this, she aims to highlight undiscovered artistic talent ranging across disciplines and presenting them on a global scale.
Chang-yi Kong
Marketing Team
Changyi Kong is currently studying the Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design. She holds a Bachelors degree in photography from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
Changyi pays attention to different social groups and communities, and her curatorial practice attempts to question critical social phenomena. In the process of studying photography, Changyi took photos of slums in Chengdu. This series of photos had been displayed at the exhibition Photographs of Collage in the West South Area. She is interested in video art and public art making, as well as organising public programs.
Emily Toaza
Editorial Team, Marketing Team
Emily is currently completing her Masters degree in Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design. She is an early career curator with a strong interest in social space and has a fervent desire to use the creative industry to foster social change. Fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, Emily has worked with culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Australia and abroad – using language as a tool to facilitate culture and identity within the arts. Having studied in Santiago, Chile and later living in Madrid, Spain, Emily’s love of language and culture is something that can be translated in her practice. Emily hopes to reinvigorate culture within her broader Sydney community, helping engender and nurture a more vibrant, expressive and creative city.
Guan-mei Li
Production Team
Guanmei Li studied oil painting for four years at Capital Normal University in Beijing. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design. Guanmei is hoping to expand her curating skills and theories in the field of art.
During university, Guanmei attended several art exhibitions in the galleries and public articles in magazines. She has working experience in the art gallery as an expositor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. She is skilled in data collection, information and reception.
Helen Stuart
Curatorial Team
Helen is studying the Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design. She graduated from The University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Arts in English and history, and then completed a Post-graduate Diploma in Secondary Education.
After living in London and experiencing its many museums and galleries, she was inspired to study art curating. Helen is also interested in the areas of social justice and accessibility to the arts for everyone.
Lin-nan Li
Curatorial Team, Editorial Team
Linnan Li studied Product Design at a university in Shanghai and has a wealth of design skills and knowledge. Linnan is currently studying the Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW in an attempt to expand his professional skills in the field of art.
Linnan participated as a volunteer at the 22nd Sydney Biennale: he was a preparator for Colectivo Ayllu at Artspace and joined the interpretation team of the National Art School during the exhibition to help the Biennale serve the audience.
Li-qing Lan
Marketing Team
Liqing Lan studied accounting at Xiamen University in Fujian. She is currently studying the Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design in an attempt to increase her professional skills in the field of art.
During university, Liqing participated in volunteer work in the Fujian Provincial Museum. During this experience, she met many artists and became interested in art and curation after learning more about their ideas and artwork. Liqing is skilled in accounting and budgeting, and has been able to apply her accounting skills to the field of curating.
Maya Martin-Westheimer

Maya is an emerging curator who is passionate about the creative arts and design in multi-disciplinary venues and institutions. She is interested in working with people and facilitating new ways of seeing through art. Graduating with a Bachelor of Art History and Curating from Monash University, Maya has gone on to study a Masters in Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW. Interested in Social practices, education, public programs and art relating to social and political change, Maya’s practice is motivated to bring communities together through art. She advocates for the ability of art to assist society during these transformative times. Maya volunteered at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA), invigilated at Spectrum Art Space, worked at the Melbourne Art Fair and assisted artists with installations and project development.
Nan-hui Chen
Editorial Team
Nanhui Chen studied fashion communication at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Art University. She is currently studying the Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW and aims to expand her curating and professional skills in the field of art.
 
Nan is interested in fashion trends and styling. During university, she participated in curating the art exhibition in the United Art Museum in Wuhan. Furthermore, she caters to major museums and non-profit organisations. Nan works well and can provide consultations for international corporations in artistic development.
Sineenart Meena
Curatorial Team
Mina is currently studying the Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Jewellery Design at Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok, Thailand. She is accomplished as a jewellery designer as well as working on her own business.
Recently, Mina volunteered to assemble parts for an installation for artist Rochelle Haley (Ever Sun Project) in the Artspace Studios. With a Thai background, she is passionate about installation art and is interested in exploring across disciplines and art practices around the Asia-Pacific region. Mina sees this as something that will enable her to focus on the possibilities of cultural exchange between these regions.  
Tara Green
Production Team
Tara majored in painting and drawing to be awarded Bachelor of Fine Arts and went on to complete a Masters of Art at the University of New South Wales. Tara is now in the completion of a Masters in Curating and Cultural Leadership. A passionate artist with a keen eye for detail and motivated people, Tara holds skills in managing events and fundraising for the local community. Tara continues to explore opportunities for large scale public art relevant to place and community; anything to align her desire to engage with people across several art related environments, to share her passion and to deliver projects from the grass roots up. Tara recently volunteered for The Sydney Biennale, helping with installation of Colectivo Ayllu at Artspace, and invigilating the artworks on Cockatoo Island and Carriageworks over the full extent of NIRIN.
Tse-yu Liu
Curatorial Team, Digital Material Team
Tse-Yu is undertaking the Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design. He is interested in the creative industries and skilled at using Adobe software, such as Photoshop and Illustrator. In the future, he is going to apply to the field of film or computer games.
Tse-Yu is also interested in animal welfare. He hopes to organise animal-focused exhibitions to promote animal rights and support equality for animals in the future.
Vivian Lee
Curatorial Team, Digital Material Team
Vivian is an independent curator and cross-disciplinary artist who is in her early career. Originally from Hong Kong, she has lived in Australia since 2018. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honors) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016 and is currently undergoing her Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design.
Vivian’s artistic practice explores her interest in material experimentation through studying the physicality of different mediums. Her postcolonial cultural background has also drawn her towards discussing how age, education and practices construct our identities.
Yan-yu Qin
Editorial Team, Marketing Team
Yanyu Qin holds a Bachelors degree in Oil Painting from Sichuan Fine Art Institute, and is currently studying at the University of New South Wales in the Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership.
Yanyu has a keen interest in delivering public programs and engaging audiences; her curatorial practices focus on hospitality and broadly involving communities. She comes from a background where many of her relatives are educators. Yanyu has experience in working with university students and has co-curated a group exhibition of educators’ artworks from Baise University and Guangxi Normal University for Nationalities.
Yu-han Sun
Production Team
After completing the Bachelor's degree in Literature and Translation, Yuhan is studying for the Masters in Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design. As an emerging curator and amateur art critic, she is interested in themes of gender politics, globalization, ritual and authority. She is also interested in the selection and application of media in participatory art.
Yuhan was a member of the volunteer team at 22nd Sydney Biennial. She currently works in the curatorial team at the South China Art Museum. In the coming years, she will strive to promote cross-cultural communication and build more creative dialogue platforms.
Yu-zhou An
Digital Material Team
Yuzhou graduated from the University of Southampton, majoring in Graphic Design. She is currently studying for a Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership at UNSW Art & Design. During her undergraduate study, she engaged in graphic design and other professional content. She has experience in designing art exhibitions, business exhibitions, and exhibition booth construction. In August 2019, she worked as an intern at the UCCA Art Center in Beijing. She mainly worked on "Picasso -- Birth of a Genius" and "Matthew Barney: Redoubt". In September 2020, she joined Hua International Gallery as a gallery assistant. Her experience lies in exhibition planning and layout, material design, and arrangement.
